From the Depths

From the depths of the shadows I've finally come back to post something new! I know it's been a while but I swear it's for good reasons. Anyway, here's a new painting!

A Cool Thing Happened

I just realized I had posted these on my facebook but not on my blog! Here they are now. I uploaded some sketches to a comics/cartoons hobby site I like to go to and some other viewers liked them so they digitally inked and colored them! I thought they were pretty sweet so I'm sharing them.

A Little Splash of Color

So here's a set of character designs I did for a card game. They're a bit old but I finally finished the last one in the set and I wanted to go ahead and post them.

Portfolio - ASSEMBLE!

This year's pièce de résistance from my portfolio - The Avengers. Special thanks to my good bud Alan for suggesting this project and to JJ for helping me pull it off. A lot of people favored the Aspen pinup as the strongest piece but I think this one better shows what I can do as a sequential artist, which is what I'm going for after all. ^-^ And woo hoo, my first double-page spread! This reaffirms though that I need to buy a bigger scanner. I had the Kinko's boi scan it and he didn't quite get all the picture, leading to this unfortunate seam through the middle of the image. *sigh* Oh well, he was cute so I forgive him ^.^

Diving In

My first pinup! I think this turned out really well. I had to delay posting it because it was possibly going to be included in a book but I missed the deadline :( At any rate, I'm glad I could display it because I think it shows a lot of growth.

At Last

Yes that's right, at long last I completed a real illustration gig. Here are the two comics I drew and colored for a new, up-and-coming company called Blekko. They're a company like Google, promoting a new search engine type of thing. Anyway, if you happen across one of the baseball cards for the company, you'll see they changed the color of the second one, and I think it looks better but thought I'd mention it to avoid confusion. Maybe I'll scan one of the cards to get that version up here.
